NN North Sea Jazz is the annual festival in Rotterdam that brings three days of jazz, blues, r&b, hiphop and more to the Dutch summer. They started a multi-year partnership with DEPT® in 2023 to start attracting a younger generation to the festival grounds.

The Heartbeat of NN North Sea Jazz, a series of short videos, gives the spotlight to 5 individuals who form the backbone of the festival. Through personal interviews, we give a peek behind the scenes and the craft that a diverse group of people put into it.

At North Sea ‘23, the audience told us about all of their favourite moments of the festival. The best acts, the atmosphere and who they were sharing these memories with gave visitors a chance to look back at their festival weekend and was used as an invitation for those who couldn’t be there to join for the next edition.
